Each year the club awards a trophy to any eligible dog and handler in the following categories:
- TITLE TROPHIES in Obedience, Rally Obedience, Dances with Dogs, Agility, Tracking, Herding, Scent Work or any other Dogs Australia recognised discipline or Flyball.
- CHAMPIONSHIP TITLES. In addition to a title trophy, the Club will recognise the achievement of Championship titles in any of the disciplines listed above by presenting a framed photo of the relevant dog to the handler.
- NEW TRIALLER AWARD. In addition to any other Club award, the Club will award a New Trialler award for competition among eligible members who have not at any time previously trialled a dog in Obedience, Rally Obedience or Flyball.
- DOG OF THE YEAR AWARDS . The Club will award one Dog of the Year award in each of the following disciplines
- Obedience
- Rally Obedience
- Flyball
AWARD YEAR: The Club award year is from 1 October to 30 September. Scores submitted must be obtained between these dates.
ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible for a PRDTC annual award, a handler and dog must have been a financial member of the Club for a period of at least 6 months within the award year and (in the case of Obedience and Rally Obedience) to have nominated PRDTC as their Club on their trial entry forms during the relevant period.
In addition, handlers must have contributed to the Club during the award year in some capacity, eg as a contributing committee member, as a trainer, assisting at Club trials and other events or assisting with clubhouse duties.
