RALLY OBEDIENCE 

Rally Obedience training co-ordinator and resident Judge, Bevan Stewart, is conducting a specially designed 6-week course for beginners.  The class will teach the handler and dog the skills required to compete at novice level.

The course is open to:
  • Club Trainers
  • Intermediate and Advanced class members
  • Non-club members may be considered - club membership upon acceptance is required

Dog/handler teams will be assessed to determine their skill level prior to acceptance into the course.

Skill Description

Dog remains by the handlers left side on a loose lead while handler moves at Normal Pace

Sit at heel when stopping heeling - command may be used


Stand at heel on command when stopping heeling


Down at heel on command when stopping heeling


Behaving in an acceptable manner in class
Class Assessment Criteria

for at least 10 metres without distraction


at least once out of three attempts


at least once out of three attempts

no excessive barking or whinging
no unacceptable aggressive behaviour
