Beginner Scent Work Course (Evening)

The Beginner Scent Work course is offered on the following dates:

• 4th, 18th June
• 2nd, 16th, 30th July
• 13th August

This course covers the following:

• Development of independent hunting for food and odour
• Introduction to odour
• Introduction to alert behaviour
• Basic search skills

Conditions:

• For this course, all dogs will be crated while another dog is working, so dogs must be able to stay quietly next to you, in their crate during class.  Crating in your vehicle is not an option for this course, as the car park is some distance from the class area.
• Photos of you and your dog may be taken for use on the Club's website and social media.  If you do not consent to your image being used, please notify your trainer in the first class.

Odour kit – You have the option to purchase a basic Birch odour kit from the Club for $20.00.  This is an optional purchase but recommended for home training.

The first three classes will be held at Pine Rivers Dog Training Club (Strathpine).  Classes on 16th July, 30th July and 13th August will be held at Bald Hills State School, Gympie Road, Bald Hills.
