The Club acknowledges the ongoing support of Cr Gillam and the Moreton Bay Regional Council.  We recently received a COVID-19 Community Infrastructure Revitalisation Grant to renew the bathrooms and install more storage.  A new roller door was installed on the equipment shed.  Our local contractors  First Choice Kitchens and Qld Roller Doors were very happy to receive the work.

Our classes are affordable because the Club is a not-for-profit organisation affiliated with Dogs Queensland.

Trainers volunteer their time to help you train your dog to become a well mannered family member.  Our trainers
have many decades experience training and competing with their dogs in a wide variety of dog sports.  Many of them are registered judges with Dogs Qld.  They keep up to date with the latest methods in dog training by completing training courses and attending workshops and seminars with visiting local, national and international trainers.

We promote reward-based training (positive reinforcement) because in most cases it works and it causes no harm to the dog.

However, positive reinforcement although excellent, is not used in isolation.  It must be coupled with consistent actions, always encouraging good behaviour but actively ensuring we don’t reward unacceptable behaviour.  Boundaries must be set and right or wrong clearly indicated to the dog.  Our aim is for your dog to be calmer and more settled and your relationship with your dog to be stronger and deeper.
